Winter Wellbeing Day with laura

Saturday 30th November - £40 - 10am till 2pm - including lunch and hot tonic cleansing drink - Arrive with a hot festive cleansing tonic and complete a deep stretch yoga class with mediation. Enjoy a 30 minute mindfulness walk in nature, followed by a healthy RFK lunch and community catchup.

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on strengthening the body and places an emphasis on core strength. It helps improve general fitness, as well as overall well-being. It concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility.

Pilates also focuses on the mind-body connection as you need to be constantly aware of your breathing and the way your body moves.

This class is suitable for beginners or improvers.

Sound healing mediation

Known as a ‘sound bath’, this is a deeper form of meditation without any participation required. Lie down, relax and allow the vibrations and sounds of the instruments to wash over you to heal and uplift emotional burdens and disharmonies within.

Bring a mat to lie on, a blanket/duvet/sleeping bag and pillow/cushion.

Some of the benefits of Sound Healing Meditation are as follows: cleansing negative energy and emotions, relieving stress, deeper relaxation, aiding recovery after illness or trauma, improving sleep and increasing energy levels. 8.00pm to 9.00pm: Sound Bath

childrens yoga

Run by Sarah from Yoga Bears Wirral, there is a weekly after school and also a monthly classes on a Saturday. In addition, there are other ‘special’ sessions, all of which are detailed on Sarah’s Facebook and Instagram (see below).

Yoga has been shown to benefit children in a myriad of ways –  physically, socially and emotionally. We are very excited to be able to offer these classes, which are run by a very experienced and knowledgeable teacher of children’s yoga.

Beginners yoga - 5 week course

This is a 5 week beginners’ course which will enable you explore yoga and its benefits. We will introduce you to the basic standing and seated poses with an emphasis on understanding how your body works, what limits you and how to progress safely. The aesthetics of the pose are not important, it’s how it feels to you. We will also introduce you to meditation and breathing practice.

Whether you are looking to ease general aches and pains, wanting to be more flexible, get fitter, find coping strategies for dealing with stress and anxiety or just want to try something new, then this course is just right for you.

This is a 6 week gentle, relaxed and friendly exploration of yoga and its many benefits. Suitable for beginners and those with some previous yoga experience.

If you fancy joining a walking group or just want to get out for exercise with others every so often, then this is the group for you. We will make the most of the beautiful local walks available and be out for approximately an hour before returning to real food kitchen. The walking group is free to all. Come and join our friendly, accessible and relaxed book group. Meetings are monthly on the last Thursday of each month from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Conversational Spanish Classes - Tuesday - Free

Friendly and informal, these free classes take place from 10am to 11am (Advanced) on a Tuesday morning 9am to 10am (Beginners). Grab a drink and come and join us.
